Our Mission

The mission of the Islamabad Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR) is to provide timely, respectful, and human-centered dispute resolution services while building long-term national capacity through training, research, and institutional partnerships.
ICDR integrates international best practices with Pakistan’s legal, social, and cultural frameworks to promote effective dispute resolution, sustainable peace, justice, and institutional trust. The Centre is committed to supporting individuals, organizations, and institutions through structured, ethical, and accessible dispute resolution mechanisms.
Through professional service delivery and capacity-building initiatives, ICDR contributes to the strengthening of Pakistan’s dispute resolution ecosystem and the development of reliable alternatives to litigation.

Our Vision

We envision a Pakistan where dispute resolution is timely, effective, and trusted, and where Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) is recognized as a reliable complement to the formal justice system.
ICDR seeks to institutionalize ADR as an accessible and professionally governed mechanism nationwide, including in underserved communities, while aligning domestic practices with internationally recognized standards. Our vision is to contribute to the development of a structured, inclusive, and sustainable dispute resolution ecosystem that integrates local legal traditions with global best practices.
