Islamabad Center for Dispute Resolution

Islamabad Center for Dispute Resolution (ICDR) is dedicated to advance the practice and accessibility of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in Pakistan. In a country where over 2.2 million cases are currently pending in the formal judicial system, ICDR offers a timely and culturally rooted response—promoting ADR mechanisms that are not only efficient but also aligned with traditional values of dialogue, dignity, and communal harmony. We believe that justice delivered outside the courtroom can be more inclusive, less adversarial, and ultimately more sustainable—especially in culturally sensitive and rural settings.
Islamabad Center for Dispute Resolution
we are driven by a profound belief: that conflict, no matter how complex, can be resolved with dignity, empathy, and dialogue. Our ADR services cover a wide spectrum—civil, commercial, family, consumer, workplace, and community-based disputes—delivered with compassion and integrity. We not only provide ADR services in Pakistan but also our vision extends beyond borders. Through our international dispute resolution services, we support cross-border mediation and arbitration, helping individuals, businesses, and institutions resolve global conflicts with cultural sensitivity and adherence to the highest professional standards. Whether it's a multinational business dispute or a transnational family matter, we provide a safe, neutral, and principled space for resolution. We act as a bridge—connecting people across continents to heal divisions and restore relationships.
Resolving disputes is only half the mission—we are equally devoted to empowering people to become peacebuilders themselves. Our training and capacity-building programs are designed to ignite purpose, develop skills, and inspire change. We offer certified trainings, immersive workshops, and internships tailored for law students, legal professionals, civil society actors, and grassroots leaders. From the courtrooms of Lahore to the mediation tables of London and beyond, we are shaping a new generation of confident, capable conflict resolvers who can make a difference—locally and globally. At ICDR, we are not just creating professionals; we are cultivating change makers for peace.
At the core of our mission lies a deep belief in the power of women to transform conflict into resolution. Our Women-Led ADR Initiatives are designed to elevate women—not just as participants in dispute resolution, but as leaders, mentors, and trailblazers. We are committed to breaking down the structural and cultural barriers that have long silenced women's voices in legal and communal decision-making. Through professional training, mentorship, global networking, and meaningful opportunities for growth, we empower women to step into their rightful roles as mediators, arbitrators, facilitators, and change makers. We build safe spaces for women to connect, learn, and lead; we amplify their voices through publications and digital platforms; and we support the next generation of female peacebuilders through scholarships and sponsorships. By collaborating with national and international partners, we are reshaping the landscape of ADR to be more inclusive, just, and reflective of the wisdom, empathy, and strength that women have brought to conflict resolution for generations. When women lead in ADR, communities heal, systems transform, and justice becomes truly accessible.
We believe that true, lasting change begins with the passion, courage, and vision of the youth. They are not just the leaders of tomorrow—they are the change makers of today. Our Youth Empowerment Programs are built to ignite that spark by nurturing leadership, empathy, critical thinking, and conflict resolution skills in young minds. Through these efforts, we are shaping a new generation of peacebuilders—resilient individuals who will challenge injustice, bridge divides, and inspire hope in their communities. But our vision doesn’t stop there. We are committed to creating a global movement by building a powerful network of ADR Ambassadors—young leaders from every corner of the world, united by a shared mission to promote peaceful dispute resolution in their homes, schools, and societies. We believe that by empowering youth, we can shift mindsets, dismantle cycles of conflict, and create a world where dialogue replaces violence, and understanding replaces fear. This is more than a program—it’s a call to action. Together, we are not just teaching ADR; we are rewriting the future.
Through local partnerships and international collaborations, ICDR is cultivating a new generation of ethical ADR professionals and building a resilient and culturally responsive system of justice—one that reflects the values of peace, respect, and resolution that have long been at the heart of Pakistani society.

Our Values

Our Vision

At J&H Dispute Resolution International, our vision is simple—yet revolutionary: justice that heals, not harms; resolve that uplifts, not ruins. In a world weighed down by adversarial systems and endless court delays, we choose to believe in a better way. We dare to imagine a future where conflict is no longer feared but embraced—as an opportunity to listen, to rebuild, and to transform.
We envision a Pakistan where justice is swift, compassionate, and trusted by all—where resolving conflict becomes an opportunity for growth, not a cause for fear or delay. At J&H DRI, our vision is to make Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) a respected and accessible mechanism nationwide, reaching even the most underserved regions. We are working toward a future where communities no longer feel powerless in the face of disputes—and where dignity, dialogue, and healing become the foundation of justice.
We are not merely building an institution—we are nurturing a global movement rooted in dignity, compassion, and courage. A movement that connects local realities with international possibilities. We believe justice must cross borders—of geography, class, gender, and belief—to become truly whole.
By investing in inclusive capacity building, embracing innovation, and promoting gender equity, we aim to lead a national transformation in how conflict is addressed.
